We're still alive

Just in case you were wondering, we made it back safely about 10 days ago. In that time, I have completed (for the most part) a semesters worth of preaching class, my parents came to visit, and Melissa started back work. I have this idea in my head that someday we will get time to rest, but I'm beginning to think it's time to let go of it. Praise the Lord for the sabbath, otherwise we'd be dead.

Tomorrow is a day off though, the 4th of July. We're heading over to the Charles river to join the best fourth of July celebration in America. I want to say it is the biggest, but I have no idea. What I do know is that riverside at the esplanade is the only place you can hear Steven Tyler from Aerosmith singing in front of a symphony orchestra. That's what happened last year anyway. Maybe this year they can swing Rod Stewart or Billy Joel...here's hoping.
