Sunday Morning
I'm sorry about the lack of pictures thus far, but I didn't bring a camera. As soon as I have a chance, I will upload some of the pictures others have taken.
Today we went to New Covenant Baptist Church for worship. It was our first opportunity to meet the body we will be working with. The service was really neat, there was a lot of spontaneous singing and dancing and the service was in both English and their local language. 10 people gave their testimony about coming to faith in the last year, and several people were very emotional. We all felt the presence of God strongly amongst them, and we are anxiously awaiting getting to do some significant work tomorrow morning.
One group will hit the road at 7am to drive out to the township to help the terminally ill residents, the other group will leave at 10am to prepare the meal for the many orphans in the area. Please pray for the Lord to give us strength as we experience emotionally difficult situations, and pray that we would have boldness to point them towards the love of Jesus Christ.
