New Developments
When I wrote the previous post about the Atlanta Falcons, I didn't anticipate it being the only post for over a month. After sporadically blogging for years, you think I would have learned this lesson by now. Since that last post, a lot has happened in our lives. For one thing, classes started which partially explains why neither of us have bothered to blog. More importantly though, we began attending Christ the King's church plant in Dorchester (I've added a link up top). Although most people refer to it by the neighborhood name, Dorchester is actual part of Boston proper. It is an economically and ethnically diverse area on the southern side of the city.
The move to Dorchester is the first step in church planting training program that will hopefully begin next summer. Right now, about all I do is unlock the doors to the school where we meet and I bring the bread for communion, but throughout the year I will be doing different things while we search for a full-time pastor. In fact, on October 28th I am making my US preaching debut with a sermon on the 6th commandment (You shall not kill). We feel very strongly that the Lord has brought us to this place, and we have been confirmed many times since starting there in September. If things continue to work out, we should be looking for an apartment down there once our lease runs out.
