Dawning of a new day!

Yesterday was glorious. After months of waiting, our lead pastor, Dan Rogers, and his family finally arrived. Dan will not officially begin until July, but it is great to have him up here getting used to life in the Dot.

The Rogers family have a great house only a few blocks from where our Church is currently meeting, but it has lead paint - a huge problem for their 3 year-old daughter (at least that's what the Boston Public Health Commission says). Consequently, the house will not be ready for them to move in for several more weeks. "But wait," you say, "didn't they move in yesterday?" Well, sort of. They put some stuff inside their house yesterday, but the family is staying at our place. As you can tell, there are plenty of Rogers' to take up all the rooms in our house. Rather than try and have 9 people living in our one bathroom apartment, Melissa and I began a 1-4 week slumber party at the Lee's house a few streets down. After one day, we are having a blast. Are house is cool and all, but here the Lee's have guitar hero, and - get this - and actual guitar.

Our support raising is coming along, but we are far from even reaching the halfway point. Please pray that God would lead us the people he is already calling to support our Church plant. Also, pray for the Rogers, especially their kids, as they adjust to life in New England. Dorchester is a great place to live, but it will take some getting used to.
