The 4th of July

I'm sure there are other cities that do it well, but Boston is the Capital of the 4th of July. Friday afternoon we had a church picnic at Castle Island along with a few hundred other Bostonians.  We gorged ourselves with ribs, burgers, kabobs, baked beans, and a table full of deserts before heading over to the field to play baseball and bocce ball beneath a slightly overcast sky.  I had a great time taking batting practice to sharpen up my skills for next weeks Shawmutts game (We are 1-0!).
