Bigger, Stronger, Faster

It was an Historic evening at CTK-Dorchester on Sunday. We officially moved to the super sized communion cups. I know that to many of you this may seem insignificant, but it was quite an experience at the table. Coincidentally, or rather, providentially, we also had a huge loaf of Ethiopian flat bread to go with our large cups. Dan's sermon on Galatians 2:11-21 (Which you can hear on the sermons page, and you should) hit on the reality of our sinfulness, and our need for a big savior who could cover all our sins. The elements (bread/wine) were a great visual representation of what he was talking about. Instead of taking a thimble worth of wine or juice and a tiny crumb of bread, everyone got enough for at least a full gulp and a couple of bites as we recognized Christ as the only source of our righteousness.

Next week, I'm stepping up to the pulpit (or more precisely, the music stand in the school library). It's a little nerve racking, but thankfully the word of God is not bound to my oratory skill. Please keep me in your prayers, I'm still a rookie at sermon prep. While you're at it, pray that I could divide my time well. We still have about half of our support to raise and only a month to get it done. Melissa is also working 40 hours at the clinic, so it will be a busy week in the Keck household.

PS. Shawmutts are on a one game win streak.
